| Summary | 0001972: Skins: Option Page in Administration Console | |||||||||||
| Description |
The skin options should be editable through the administration console. Asking the store administrator to FTP into his server in order to tweak a small setting may be asking a little too much. Skin option pages should be editable. This means that, as developers, we should be able to add as many "options" to the skin as required (which can then be set through the administration page). These options should be accessible in the template files - e.g: $options->option_name or $options['option_name'] This would replace the XML configuration file, which although is definitely a step in the right direction, has limited flexibility and added complexity. |
